Recycling & Composting
in our
Parish

Picture
Recycling and composting is coming to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral.  Types of material as well as the amounts of material generated during special events, including the Festival, will be evaluated to determine which collection method(s) will work best.  Stay tuned for updates and progress reports.

Recycle
In Genesis, as soon as people are given dominion, they are commanded by God to "replenish the earth" (Genesis 1:28).  This means that when we take from God's creation, we put back into the earth in proportion as we have taken.  This principle of restoration guarantees that the earth can sustain us now as well as in future generations.  Recycling is therefore obedience to God and foundational to a right relationship to His creation.
